Usability Testing.

Where do users run into issues on your site?

A 2-week QuickStart initiative from Bit Group

Usability testing is the most effective way to identify and analyze your Web site’s or application’s strengths and weaknesses. We will measure how well your users can accomplish goals and tasks using your system. Bit Group follows a heuristic methodology to help you target and prioritize your redesign efforts quickly, cost-efficiently, and objectively.

Activities

Bit Group will conduct an initial meeting to discuss your business objectives, site goals, and user profiles. This information will determine key areas of your site to be tested. Once we have established the goals for this test, and discussed selecting participants, Bit Group will create a test script. The test script is a series of tasks we ask the users to perform and is designed to expose potential problem spots on your Web site.

A moderator will observe each participant, individually, as they role-play through the test script and interact with your site. We carefully monitor each user and collect data — usually qualitative in nature — about their interactions. Bit Group will provide an environment for users to communicate with us throughout this process, while we closely observe their behaviors. The user will be focused on the task and the system without distractions or subjective instructions.

After all the user data has been collected, we analyze it based on best practices and assemble the findings into a comprehensive document. This final deliverable will highlight areas needing improvement and what enhancements can be made to meet the needs of your users.

How much can you really get done in two weeks?

To answer that, all you need is a little perspective. Just look at Steve Fosset and his solo balloon flight around the world. Now performing quality usability testing on your site or product seems much easier, doesn’t it?
